Vine Lounge
This is the elegant 32-seater vine lounge with plush couches, showcasing an impressive selection of European and New World wines.

Entree: Portobello Mushroom Veloute

With sauteed portobello, prosciutto crisps, accented with truffle oil. The crispy prosciutto (ham) was a great touch. The texture of the mushroom veloute was thick and perfect, not to mention it was served piping hot. (The way most people would like their soup to be) The hints of truffle oil definitely brought out the best of all flavours. One of the BEST mushroom soup I've had!

Main Course: Baked Seabass with Herbs

Baked seabass sat on a bed of barley risotto, tomato nicoise, kaffir lime beurre blanc. The barley risotto was creamy while the meat of the sea bass was slightly tough. The tangy tomato nicoise, together with the creamy kaffir lime beurre blanc gave nice highlights to this dish.

Dessert: Chocolate Banana Cream Puff with Fresh Bananas

With hazelnut feuilletine, chocolate chips, vanilla cream, milk chocolate glaze, vanilla gelato. Presentation wise, we were pleasantly surprised by the huge cream puff! But sadly to say that the puff pastry was overpowering. The exterior puff was very dry and heavy, instead of being fluffy or moist. Thus, it made the whole dessert feel dry and "matte". What we did like was the premium vanilla gelato, how I wish to have a bigger scoop...

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop is a retail store that sells souvenirs, housemade cheesecakes, cookies, chocolates, coffee and tea blends.

This is the venue for afternoon tea buffet! As the afternoon tea starts at 2pm and I gotta leave before that, so will come back again to update you guys the afternoon tea items. Heard that the afternoon tea here consists of a 3-tier stand with a choice of Coffee Or Tea + some sweet and savoury nibbles in buffet style. Sounds good!!

Latte ($8++)
Wow a very nice presentation for serving coffee! But the price was a little too ex..

Cappucino ($8++)

Overall Impression: Service was very polite and good here! And the staff will go to every table to ask for the feedback of the food. Food quality was between average to slightly above average.  I like the presentation of the food and beverage served at Kuvo, made you feel that you're dining at a 5-star hotel! The aircon was quite cold here, do bring a jacket along.

Kuvo is a very relaxing place with cosy ambience that has everything all-in-1 place. (All day Breakfast, Western and Asian Cuisine, Dessert, Afternoon Tea with Buffet, Cocktail and Wine Bar to chill out with small plates) Enjoy till late at orchard area near Somerset mrt! Price was a little on the high side but I guess paying a bit more to indulge ourselves sometimes is worth it right?

Directions: Take the escalator up to Level 4, walk to the concierge of ION Art and you'll see Salt Grill Reception at the end of the counter. Inform the staff of your reservation and they will direct you to their delicated lift up to Level 55 of their exclusive dining restaurant!

Entrance of Salt Grill!

This is the main dining hall on level 55 with an open concept kitchen!

Walk on this red carpet to level 56!

And here is where we seated at the center table!

Diners can indulge in pre or post-dinner drinks here on level 56 or you can hold a private event at this floor!

We were served with warm nice bread...

Sydney crab omelette, enoki mushroom &
herb salad, miso mustard broth
Salt Grill has proved to us that a simple omelette can also be so tasty with their fresh crabmeat inside! The omelette complemented very well with their superb miso mustard broth too! The crab omelette is really melt-in-the-mouth..... But there was too much herb salad that looked messy and ruined the taste of the yummy broth.. I think it would be perfect if the herb salad were sat only onto the omelette and leave the side with just the broth for diners to savour easily...

Barramundi, petit pois, a la francaise (with bacon)
As most people don't understand petit pois in french is actually small green peas, so I think most people were shocked to see so many small green peas.. The barramundi was fresh, quite tender and with great flavor but I was really turned off by the countless green peas and only consume the fish and the small bacon..

Grilled Tara valley tenderloin, braised fennel, parsley puree bordelaise sauce
The beef was cooked to perfection and complemented well with the sauce..

Mocha brulee, white chocolate ice-cream, coffee meringue, oreo crumbs
It's rare to see mocha brulee and this certainly excite my taste bud with aromatic mocha taste! It goes so well with the white chocolate ice-cream, coffee meringue and oreo crumbs!

Yuzu panna cotta, mandarin segments, ginger beer sorbet
Another unique dessert - very refreshing!

The view from our table! It's a little far though as it's not window seat..

This is their sky bar for some drinks and tapas from 11am to 11.30pm!

A great place to chill!

I like their lift with the light!

Overall Impression: Food quality for the main course was good except the sides. But I must say the food quality has dropped a little compared to my visit in 2014.

As they have 2 seatings, so we felt they seemed to be very rush throughout the whole dinner, every dish served one after another almost immediately - They served the bread, our 3 course with coffee everything within an hour, this make us feel we finished dinner early and can return the table to them earlier. Probably this only happened during restaurant week period.. Despite this, the whole ambience was really romantic and great with charming bird's-eye view!
