Visited on 13 March 2016 (Sun). P.Bistro is renowned for its elegant French bistro-style dining, serving unpretentious Asian fusion, French and Italian dishes at reasonable prices. You will definitely love the quiet, relaxing and cosy ambience here (Great place for couple date or friends catch up!)
P. Bistro stands for Pang Bistro as the name of the owner is Pang. His wife (Min Yee) who is also the pastry chef here, began her culinary journey at Singapore’s Shatec Institutes, before a move to Paris, where she earned a Le Grand Diplôme and Master certification from Le Cordon Bleu Paris and Ecole Lenôtre respectively, two of the world’s top culinary schools. But now, we shall review on their dish first, will definitely come back to try their high tea dessert! :P
Does this place look familiar to you at Palais? Yes, this place used to be occupied by Antoinette.
If you're bored, grab some magazines from the magazine holder! (On the right)
They have beautiful paintings here!
You can enjoy All day High Tea here with a cup of coffee or tea at $25++ !
Roasted Hazelnut Latte from Dutch Colony at $6.00++
The coffee here was really good from Dutch Colony. But do note that the hazelnut latte here is really very sweet. Do ask them to put lesser hazelnut if you do not like it to be too sweet. Paired with a light and fragrant matcha sable - You can purchase the cookie from the counter! (Photo below)
Duck Confit ($28++)
So far this is one of the few duck confits in Singapore that could impress us! Well marinated with extremely crisp skin; you can hear the crackling when you bite on it! The meat was so moist and tender that it slide off the bones easily! A Must-Try dish from P.Bistro!!!
Salmon Benedict ($15++)
This was another wonderful dish that made us longing for more. You can find Eggs Benedict everywhere, but not every place is good. Just look at that yolk, sooooo runny inside!.. Drooling liao right... Poached egg lovers will definitely get full satisfaction at P.Bistro!
Overall Impression: So far we only tried their 2 dishes and they were both very impressive! Service here was not bad too. If you're looking for high quality food, in an idlylic ambience, at affordable prices, die die also must come all the way here even though it's a little out of the way from Orchard Mrt Station! :)
